Chiddy (Chidera Anamege) & Xaphoon Jones (Noah Beresin) are collectively known as the alternative hip-hop group Chiddy Bang who are responsible for the 2010 hit ‘Opposite of Adults’ which uses samples from MGMT’s break-through single ‘Kids’. Although ‘Opposite Of Adults’ seems to be the song in which people associate the duo with, Chiddy Bang have quite a large discography which includes ‘The Swelly Express’ (2009), ‘Air Swell’ (2010), ‘Peanut Butter & Swelly’ (2011), ‘The Opposite Of Adults EP’ (2011), ‘Chiddy Bang: The Preview EP’ (2011) and their debut album ‘Breakfast’ to be released on February 28th 2012.

Producer Xaphoon Jones and rapper Chiddy met at their freshman year in Drexel University and since then have gained major viral success through their MySpace and being recommended by popular music blogs. After gaining quite a large following from the few songs they had on their MySpace, Chiddy Bang went on to release their first mixtape entitled ‘The Swelly Express’. The mixtape caused a huge buzz around offices of Parlophone and the duo ended up being signed in March 2010.

Chiddy Bang seem to be very popular in the UK and released a mixtape entitled ‘Air Swell’ which was entirely made on flights from New York to London which featured UK artists such as Ellie Goulding, La Roux and Tinie Tempah. During 2010 the band toured with Tinie Tempah on his ‘Disc-Overy Tour’ and headlined their first tour called ‘The Swelly Life Tour’. As well as these two major tours, the duo made appearances at many festivals such as Wireless, Glastonbury, Lollapolooza and many more. 

From what we have heard previously from this band we cannot wait for what they have in-store for their debut album. February 28th 2012, don’t forget that date!
